Xucker Premium is Xucker's classic: Finnish xylitol made from wood fibers. This is why xylitol from Finland is also called "birch sugar," although it is usually obtained from beech wood. Xylitol/birch sugar has the same sweetening power as sugar and looks the same, but has 40% fewer calories and is also tooth-friendly*. Caution: Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. Stay away from animals!
Even small amounts of xylitol can be dangerous for dogs. Cats, on the other hand, tolerate xylitol without problems.
* Consuming foods/drinks that contain xylitol instead of sugar helps maintain dental mineralization.
For your information: The granulation of Xucker Premium is roughly equivalent to that of table sugar. Not every batch has the same granulation: there are marked variations, so both fine granules, coarse granules and mixtures of these can be present. This does not affect the quality and purity of the product.
