With the Adam's il Mare you make a bread with "golden linseeds" and provencal herbs.

Adam's Brot has developed a new bread mix, this bread mix for low carb bread is the il Mare variant.
With the Adam's il Mare you make a bread with "golden flaxseeds" and provencal herbs.
"Golden linseed" contains more omega 6 and less omega 3 than brown or yellow linseed.

If you made the bread (very simple) it contains 1,3 gr carbs per 100 gr. That is REALLY very little.... It depends a bit on how thick you make a slice, but if you have a slice of 35 grams you get 0,5 gr of carbs.

This gluten free low carb bread mix is ideal for anyone who has to watch their carbs, but still wants to eat some bread.
Normal low carb bread from the baker still contains easily 7 grams of carbs per slice, this whole bread contains only 7.2 grams of carbohydrates!

You can easily make the bread by adding some lukewarm water to the bread mix and then kneading it.
Then you put the bread in the oven on a baking sheet (or in a cake tin) and bake it at 190 degrees for 60 minutes.
Proofing is not necessary.

Normally you make the bread with 380 ml water, then the bread stays a bit firmer. Do you want a lighter bread that rises better in the oven? Then use 410 ml of water.

The taste is slightly different from real bread, but it certainly tastes good. You can also toast the slices afterwards (this also improves the taste).

By the way, did you know you can also make low-carb baguettes from this?
Just don't put the dough of the Adam's Bread mix in a cake tin, but put it on a baking sheet with baking paper. Bake for a slightly shorter time.

Preparation

This mix is not suitable for a bread machine.

You can store the bread in the bread bin afterwards (NOT in a plastic bag!).

By experiment we have the following storage tip for you:
Once the bread has cooled down you can easily store it in a clean towel for a day or 2.
Roll up the bread in the same towel as you used to let it rise and store it on your countertop or in the cupboard.
The low carb bread will lose a little of its crispness, but it will stay fresh for a few days.
